Writing Your Professional Bio or Profile

Writing Your Professional Bio or Profile

For artists, writers, and small business owners

Are you an artist, writer, small business owner, or speaker who’s often asked to submit a professional bio for a presentation, publication, speaking engagement, or just your company website or social media … but you’re stuck trying to write it? Do you wonder what to include and what to leave out? Do you wish someone would just help you write it?

In this one evening workshop at Frankfort Writers Center, we’ll talk about what makes a good bio, will discover how bios vary for different platforms and settings, then participants will spend some time drafting their own bio and reading others’ in the group. At the end of the evening, participants can leave their bio with workshop leader Charity Singleton Craig who will give them a final once over and return a finished draft to participants within one week.
